We have watched many reports of scandals, violations and over reach for years with this administration. All the while people have ignored, denied or buried the truth with no appropriate action taken. The people spoke out in many ways, but didn't want to take a stand fully, after having seen what protests led to with other issues across the country. We have also continued to watch transformation take place. It is true, we were told earlier on there would be 'change' and 'transformation'. But this transformation is stretching the bounds of morals while at the same time infringing on oppositions rights in ways we haven't seen. Many complain the Constitution is losing significance. Others feel loss of law and order. Some people suddenly feel it is their right change whatever they see fit to be changed. While Americans just want the America we have known it to be.
All these things clearly aren't working when we now have violence at presidential rallies, threats to delegates and thug behavior as something of the 'norm'? As these things are almost minimized, brushed aside as daily news, there is a message that (started with this administration) empowering criminals every single day. There are no boundaries with demands from groups of people, teachings in schools and colleges, lack of justice while individuals are increasingly labeled with division causing more negative action. If there is not Justice for those who have displayed wrongful doing and this kind of behavior is continually mirrored with verbal attacks fueling the anger, we are certainly setting the stage for increasing moral decay of our society.
We have controversy over changes with bathrooms, gender and boundaries. We have controversy over flags, historic statues, Etc. being removed. We have new anti-American thinking as people stomp on the American flag of our country. Our country and what it stands for did not bring these things to us. The influential people who decided that things would be their way stepping beyond the bounds of their responsibility with the truth continually buried even after it is slightly touched upon allowed these things to come about and happen. The next influential people will be just as significant. Our decisions now are important because we must choose how much more of this will continue.
People lost trust in the waves of corruption swaying our country without Justice. This trust must be re-built and we the people must start with each other in unity so the right changes can come about, starting in our communities and spreading out in a positive way. As I keep saying, it doesn't come from a powerful 'one person' type savior. In fact, I think some may see it that we have been down that road already in some ways and it has led to what felt like looming dictatorship. Those of us who continue to feel that inappropriate changes are put upon us also have a voice to speak out and we will.
