I feel this is a sensitive topic at this point, with all the politics involved, so I will try to word this as best as I can. First of all, we are all in this country together and this issue we are faced with, is something each and every one of us face. I know there are differing opinions and view points. Secondly, I am not an alarmist. However, I am someone who investigates and pieces together facts and looks at the big picture. I face matters, no matter how bad a situation may be. I like truth and I like to be on top of anything that may put people in harms way. I can start by saying, I followed this by doing research on the internet, not watching the television. I listened to videos of Scientists, reports from doctors in China, whistleblowers from China, medical experts, etc. I also watched videos released directly from China to see it directly. I remember back when there were not even 1,000 cases and I remember when they increased to 1,000 a day as it rapidly spread.
I watched them quarantine the city of Wuhan. I listened to reports of building new hospitals in weeks time there. I watched other videos of people dragged to quarantines. I saw the reports of over 1,000 medical personnel getting sick and a doctor and hospital director dying. I saw the videos of them spraying, streets, sidewalks, steps, storefronts, even highways. This was all before it spread around the world rapidly. I also heard doctors report on cases they have observed in China, with people getting re-infected after getting better, as it may stay dormant in the system. So it is either re-infection or relapse and in those cases, the death rate can be higher with second infection due to heart failure. I have heard about cases with a 27 day incubation period for this disease (which makes 14 day quarantine useless) and people passing it in that time without symptoms. I also heard there are strains such as SARS and AIDS in this virus and some cases are treated with AIDS medicine and other reports, Ebola medicine. *Most importantly this mixture of a virus has never been in humans and they are still *learning about it. So, there are no guarantees by *anyone*!
I have listened to 2 extremes of reporting, as other places emphasize the risk of outbreak is low, it isn't worse than the flu, minor like a cold. When we are dealing with a health crisis like this, it is natural for people to respond differently. Some people may prepare based on facts reviewed. Some people may prefer to minimize it because it is easier to cope. Some people may deny it all together. Some people may just wait as the information comes in or wait until there is a serious event from it in their area. I tend to be a factual person and lean toward preparation and survival. That can be with anything in life, such as an extreme weather event. Overall, there can be a middle ground between FEAR and all FINE. We do have it in the United States, so what do we do? Well first of all, we all know that the CDC reported sending out faulty test kits and then only having minimal places to test for this virus. *So, we are behind on the testing. They claim to be sending out new tests to some labs in states by next week for local medical people to do testing.
The first case of community spread virus in California went untested for days due to not meeting their criteria. Since then, they have said to change the criteria issue. One thing that is concerning is this: We spent money to send planes to evacuate hundreds from Wuhan and the Cruise Ship in Japan, many who were not sick and brought them back to quarantine at our bases here. Now today, there is a report of a sick man in NYC who traveled to Tokyo with a cough and fever who went to the hospital and was tested negative for other things. He was in isolation briefly, but then the CDC still refused to test him and he was sent home to isolate in his apartment? Reported reason was that he was not sick enough? I don't know if they had no test kit at all, but how can you explain this comparison from those who were evacuated. How can you explain leaving him in his apartment without being tested in New York City? Honestly, it is issues like this that will cause more panic, including the panic that can arise from an uncontrollable outbreak after being told not to worry.
As far as politics, I am a Trump supporter. But I can say one thing. This virus is real and whether Democrats have wrongly politicized this and harshly blamed him when they should not in any way, the virus or its severity is not a hoax as the media try to say. It has proven to be uncontainable. It has proven to cause higher rate of death than the flu, even with the high numbers of flu deaths over time. It has proven to be very contagious and again, it is proven to be a virus still being researched that no-one knows fully about. It is impossible for anyone to know how big an outbreak may get or how many will die in the future or to positively reassure people with verification that the risk is low or people will not get it, etc. It is my wish that people would work together better and authorities would be honest and plan more thoroughly too. And of course, leave politics out of it.
We can plan for our hospitals better with areas for respiratory issues separate from the ER. We can work faster on equipment for medical personnel. I must add, that some of our shortage on medical gear is due to Obama's Obamacare taxing medical supply manufacturing companies, leading to lay offs. Other areas of lack of supplies or even medications are due to being manufactured in China. But you will notice, how many other countries have the ability to test hundreds of people at once, while we are lagging behind with test kits. We can start planning places for people to be treated if our hospitals lack space. Even though this virus has not shown to be containable, the testing is still most important to minimize some of this and protect others. I will not get on the topic of origin in this post topic, because this is mainly concerns about managing this right now. I visited a hospital recently that did not ask about travel. Nor were the medical personnel wearing any gloves or masks. Anyone can walk in and expose these people.
*Today there was a press conference due to a death from the coronavirus in the U.S. I watched Fauci mislead people telling us all there is no re-infection from the coronavirus, contradicting reports from doctors in China and a case confirmed in Japan. Americans are smart. We can do our own research. We can see what is happening around us and the world. We do not appreciate being misled at a time like this or lied to, no matter who is reporting.
I have addressed these things because I am an American Citizen who is concerned about where this is heading. All I can advise people is to prepare regarding the necessities in case you cannot leave home and the usual that is being repeated to us about washing hands and being conscious of trying not to get this virus. Even though I feel our government is failing at the moment with their approach to this, I am aware they cannot fully save us from this and ultimately it comes up to each and every one of us taking care of ourselves as best we can. Which is why, I am reporting these things at this site, with the hopes people will think about this. We can do what is right for ourselves and those around us if we are willing to look at the facts. I appreciate it, if you are here reading this. Thank you.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
